To all our members and guests,

It’s been an incredibly challenging period for all over the past few weeks, getting to grips with all that is COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Over the past few days, we have taken time meeting with our teams, assessing our current situations and game planning around creating, better more hygienic environments for our team, our members and our guests.

Your safety and continued enjoyment across all of our Leisure Parks is our number one priority. An environment where our team, members, and guests feel comfortable and taken care of.

To this end, we have reviewed, updated and enhanced our hygiene standards across our facilities allowing you to continue to enjoy your leisure time with us.

We have amended parking and security protocols, changed restaurant configuration to allow sufficient social distancing, created more space between hitting mats, enhanced restaurant cleaning and food handling protocols, as well as increased hygiene services and stations across all of our facilities.

Security and Parking:

  • Upon arrival and exit, you will no longer receive parking permits. All cars will be required to be switched off, keys shown and then switched on again when exiting.
  • Guest Services and Reception areas:
  • Social distancing will be in play at our front reception with regards to Queues
  • Every entrant into our facilities will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entry and exit
  • Our guest service team will punch in your membership number and details thereof
  • Tap and Go has been implemented on our card facilities
  • All touch points around the guest service areas will be wiped and sanitized every 30 minutes
  • Our guest service teams will be using gloves where needed

Clubhouse and Fitness areas:

  • Hand sanitizer and hygiene stations have been created at all entries and exits around the clubhouse – we encourage members and guests to make use of this when entering or exiting the clubhouse
  • All clubhouse surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized every hour
  • Our club storage facility will still be operational, however when checking in or out clubs, they will need to be cleaned with sanitizer and disinfectant wipes made available.
  • All steam rooms will not be in use until further notice
  • Our fitness area will remain open for those members who wish to make use of it
  • Stricter and more frequent cleaning protocols have been put in place and it will be wiped down throughout the day
  • No towel = No use policy has been enforced

Restaurants and Kids areas:

  • All seating and tables in our restaurants have been modified and adjusted to cater for Social distancing purposes
  • Tables will be sanitized before and after each sitting
  • Menus will no longer be handed out, each table will have a QR code where the menu can then be opened via our customers mobile phones
  • All crockery and cutlery to undergo additional cleaning and sanitizing before use
  • All kids equipment will undergo additional cleaning every 60min
  • All our Arts and Craft areas will be sanitized every 30min and have additional Hand sanitizer and wipes on hand

Team members:

  • The health and safety of our team members is of great importance to us
  • All team members have been briefed and retrained on personal hygiene standards
  • Where possible we have reduced the number of team members and implemented a rotational system to suit traffic periods
  • Ongoing health and safety standards and protocols are taking place and where needed increased
  • Because of our diverse team, education around hygiene and the COVID-19 virus is of the utmost importance and material is being shared in all relevant languages on our internal platforms

We continue to monitor the current environment and amend as we go and are keeping abreast of current global standards in combating COVID-19 across the leisure and sport industry.

As always and true to UBUNTU, it will take a full team effort to continue to create a space for everyone to enjoy. You form part of our team and we need your help in assisting with general hygiene social standards when frequenting our facilities.

We have taken every care in ensuring that you, as well as our team members can enjoy your time with us. As a result of our configurations being spread out, all we ask is some patience in us getting used to the new norm. Being able to serve you in a timeous, efficient manner is always our priority, ensuring you leave with a smile on your face.

Experts agree that golf and cycling remain an incredible way to keep active, stay healthy and relieve stress, even during the trying times the world is currently enduring.

With all the measures we have put in place, to ensure that our Leisure Parks are clean and sterile environments, we encourage our members and guests to continue to enjoy your leisure time with us.
